Join Red Rock Audubon for our monthly birding event at Sunset Park.  We will explore some of the 324 acres which includes a pond and a stream fed by an underground aquifer.  It has both turf areas and natural areas which host a variety of birds.  It is the home to local waterfowl as well as a stopping point for many migratory birds.

Scopes may be provided for shared use, based on availability.  A light pointer will be used as needed to show the approximate location of the birds. This event consists of walking around Sunset Park, most of which is on paved pathways however, a portion may be on dirt paths.

As always, when birding in our arid climate please remember to bring enough water, protection from the sun, and snacks as needed for yourself. Don’t forget your binoculars if you have them.

Curious what you might see? Sunset Park  is visited by birders regularly. Check out recent sightings on ebird: here
