Join Jeanne Tinsman for an introduction to birding in Mt. Charleston. Escape the heat and see some new birds. Deer Creek is a public picnic area that fills up quickly in the summer, but getting there early is rewarding for birders. With abundant trees, shrubs, and a small stream many species of birds can be seen here.
We will be meeting at the Deer Creek parking lot at 6:45 in order to start birding by 7:00. With the higher altitude, be sure to bring extra water, sunscreen and a hat, as well as binoculars, cameras, etc.
