Activities are scheduled for the mornings and afternoons, with downtime in between to explore on your own or with other retreatants. Reach out to the retreat leader, Morrigan DeVito, with any questions at morrigan.devito@redrockaudubon.com. She will be in touch with you no later than July 17 to confirm whether or not you are staying overnight. If you are staying, she will provide you with more details on how to prepare and connect you with other overnight participants. She will be staying at a campsite on the mountain.

Event description: What is nature journaling and how can it make you a better observer and student of nature? Join Morrigan DeVito to create your own nature journal and get to know the organisms of the Spring Mountains up close and personal. Nature journaling synthesizes field notes, writing, and drawing in order to increase your understanding of organisms and ecosystems. What will you discover?

It is recommended that you bring your own supplies, but paper, clipboards, pens, and colored pencils will be provided to borrow. If you’d like to sit during the workshop, it is also recommended that you bring your own camp chair.
