Floyd Lamb Park - Afternoon Birding in the Park - Red Rock Audubon

Enjoy some late afternoon birding at Floyd Lamb Park.  In late afternoon/early evening, many birds come out for their last drink, bath, or meal before darkness descends. During the winter when many species congregate in flocks, they gather before sunset to roost together in trees. Whether just a handful of Black-crowned Night Herons squawking in a tree or hundreds of blackbirds singing their bedtime chorus, it’s magical.

Floyd Lamb Park’s 680 acres includes four lakes, mature trees, desert habitat, and an abundance of birds.
