Join us for the in-person General Meeting at the Clark County Wetlands Park. Doors open at 9:30am and the meeting will start at 10:00am. We will be presenting a new film by Bob Dolgan called The Magic Stump. Some of you may remember when we showed one of his previous films Monty and Rose.
THE MAGIC STUMP is a documentary short that tells the story of an Illinois tree stump that's attracted a phenomenal variety of wintering raptors through the years, including two rare Prairie Falcons. The film is the first in THE PRAIRIE STATE series and its goal is to draw attention to the raptors that winter in our agricultural landscape. The film is directed by Bob Dolgan, whose films about Chicago’s Piping Plovers, Monty and Rose, have been broadcast on public television and recognized at multiple film festivals.
