On April 28th several RRAS members volunteered at Clark County Wetlands Park Bioblitz! This annual family friendly event let participants be field biologists for the day. Stations were set up around the park to help people identify everything from plants to fish, birds, mammals and reptiles. Many organizations set up fun, educational activity tables, too. Bob and Jeane Andrew had fun at the bridge teaching children how to identify water fowl. Liz LaRue enjoyed sharing information about mammals. Angel Poe led a youth bird walk. Nancy Chang was chief hand sanitizer for people who wanted to handle reptiles.
Events like Bioblitz! are a great way to let people know the many ways Red Rock Audubon members support our community through conservation and service.
