Flagstaff For All! August 16th to 18th Red Rock Audubon will lead a field trip to Flagstaff which will include fun and interesting activities for the non-birders in our lives. A previous trip to Palm Springs was a success, so let's try a new location.
Flagstaff in August will certainly provide welcome relief from the hot Vegas valley summer. Everyone will enjoy the Museum of Northern Arizona (a surprising birding hot spot) and The Arboretum at Flagstaff. An evening visit to the Lowell Observatory will interest many. Kachina Wetlands and Picture Canyon offer some nice birding opportunities. Please sign up on our website (via our calendar) so we can keep count of how many will attend. Hotel, food and admissions fees will be at your own expense. The camaraderie is free! Click on the buttons below for some hotel information and a cut and paste description of birding opportunities.
