Youth power in action on March 11 at Discovery Park. Rainbow Owl Preserve Rainbow Owl Preserve – two secure properties designed to protect Burrowing Owls located in an urban neighborhood. Volunteers are needed year round to plant native vegetation, maintain owl burrows created and general cleanup. Be part of the Rainbow Owl Volunteer Team, contact Jim Switalla at 702-371-6392 or email at travlnmn6@cox.net On March 17, 10 Volunteers, led by Jim Switalla gave the Rainbow Owl Preserve a spring facelift. They planted 21 shrubs and plants. Two new owl nest cluster was installed too. Giving the threatened Burrowing Owl a safe habitat. Volunteers are: Paul Rodriguez, Chuck McCullough, Cristy Strong, CJ Vadovic, Cathy Kozmary, Kathryn Chasen, Fred Bell, Bob Furtek, Andy Fikus, Doug Chang.
