Our speaker, Patrick Donnelly is Nevada state director with the Center for Biological Diversity, where he advocates for the Silver State’s public lands, wildlife and plants, water, and climate. He spent most of a decade leading desert tortoise habitat restoration projects, guiding backpacking trips, and rock climbing in the California desert before heading to UC Berkeley for school. For the past five years, he has lived in the north Mojave Desert outside of Las Vegas. He enjoys nature photography, native plants, hiking desert peaks, and hot springs.
