Salvation Army After School Program participants were recently treated to a special trip to the Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve. These aspiring birders were there for some real life experience on the way to earning their organization's birding badges. Red Rock Audubon members Doug Chang, Nancy Chang and Jennifer Dudek were on hand to present information on birds and to help with binocular use.
Many thanks to the HBVP for opening up for this occasion. Everyone agreed that, despite the unusual presence of rain, the outing was a huge success and we all look forward to more fun outings with this group. Red Rock Audubon is committed to building a community that respects nature and this is a great place to find and develop our next generation of leaders.
