Many thanks to the volunteers for spending a beautiful fall morning at the Rainbow Owl Preserve. We accomplished our goals - clearing out all the Halogen and Russian Thistle, picking up trash, planting native plants and sowing native seeds. Special thanks to our first time volunteers - The Marshall family, Vanessa, Yuuma, Christel and Courtney. Thank you Christiana for the teaching us which weeds to pull and providing the Nevada Nuisance Weed Field Guide. And a big round of applause to those who dug that huge hole to bury the weeds. The other property needs some work. Keep an eye on our calendar for the next scheduled work party. Written by Doug Chang and Nancy Chang

I would be interested in helping with the next clean up to help the burrowing owls.
