Red Rock Audubon is spreading the word about the importance of native plants!
Did you know that planting natives in your vegetable garden could increase your yield? Native plants attract native pollinators to them. The busy little pollinators then will check out the other blossoms on your vegetable plants. Planting native plants will support our local ecosystem and benefit you as well. Therese Campbell, Doyle Wayman and Doug Chang spent a few hours installing native plants in our raised garden bed at the Roots Community Garden on North Tonopah Drive. We will use this bed to educate the public about the benefits of planting native plants. If you are interested in learning more about the amazing Roots Community Garden and maybe renting a raised bed of your own, check out their website at vegasroots.org.
