Your Voice Matters

​National Audubon shared some facts with its board members at their meeting this past June. You might want to take notice.

In a survey of Congressional staff:

• 94% say a constituent meeting has "some" or "a lot" of influence on undecided Congressional representatives.
• 64% of Congressional offices prefer constituent meetings.
• Only 7% prefer meeting with a DC lobbyist.
• Senators and Congressmen and Congresswomen are more likely to act when they know constituents care.

Bottom line: Contact your representatives in Washington on issues that concern you. Your voice will be heard and can be influential if your representative is undecided on an issue.
